Variables - EnConvo Documentation

Variables supply changing values to prompts and preferences that support templating. Open Settings → Agents → Variables to browse the available variables.

Opened Applications / Names	Running app information

Use a variable

Open the AI Command, Agent instruction, or workflow field you want to customize.
Confirm that the field supports variables; use its picker when available.
Insert the appropriate value and test with harmless sample content.
Review whether an empty input or unavailable permission changes the result.

A text prompt can use supported template names such as:

Today is {{ now }}.
Rewrite the following input as a concise checklist:
{{ input_text }}

Variable availability depends on the command and context. Do not assume an ordinary text field evaluates templates. Screenshots and app content can require macOS permissions and a model that accepts the resulting input. Related: AI Commands, Context Awareness, Creating Workflows.
