Configure the service you want to use under Settings → Global Providers Settings, then open the relevant provider. Credential Management groups credentials by provider and shows unused keys separately.

Add a provider

  1. Open a category such as AI Model, Image Generation, or Text-to-Speech.
  2. Select a provider, or choose Add New Provider for another profile.
  3. Under Authentication, choose the method available for that provider: API key or its supported account/subscription sign-in.
  4. Enter your own credentials or complete the provider’s connection flow.
  5. Validate if the provider exposes a validation action, select a model, and try a small request.
An API key and a subscription connection have different billing and service limits. Use the explanatory text beneath Authentication to check which method requests will use.

Shared profiles

A provider profile such as OpenAI 2 shares its API key and account connection across supported categories. Renaming or deleting the profile applies to the profile across those categories, not just the page you are viewing. Model, voice, and generation settings remain specific to their feature. Changing an API key can affect several features that use the same profile.

Account connections and usage

Supported subscription connections show account information and available usage limits. A value such as % left is remaining allowance. The account card’s menu can expose Reconnect and Refresh usage. Missing usage information does not mean unlimited usage. Availability varies by provider and feature. For example, an account connection offered for AI chat does not guarantee that provider’s realtime voice API is included.

Custom endpoints

Custom OpenAI Compatible and Anthropic Compatible providers expose an API base URL. Some built-in providers keep endpoint configuration in Credential Management. For servers on another computer, see Local Models.

Troubleshooting

If validation fails, check the selected profile, authentication method, endpoint, and provider account access. If one feature works but another fails, confirm that the account supports that feature and model. After changing a shared profile, test the other categories that use it.
